Srinagar, Feb 10 :  Government on Saturday referred the Public Damage Property Act bill to select committee amid resentment by the opposition members soon after it was introduced in the legislative assembly.
According to the GNS correspondent,  soon after the damage property bill introduced in the house, the opposition members including Ali Mohd Sagar, Mohd Yousf Taragami and others categorically opposed the bill and said it contains more strict laws.
As the ruckus over the controversial bill continued with opposition demanding it’s immediate withdrawal or referred it to the select committee for discussion.
Meanwhile, Minister for Parlimentary Affairs. Abdul Rehman Veeri agreed the opposition members demand and said the bill will be referred to selection committee. (GNS)
