Srinagar, Feb 12 : Alert sentry foiled a fidayeen attack on a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp in Karan Nagar area of the summer capital, on Monday.
Official sources said that an alert sentry noticed a group of militants approaching towards the camp at Karan Nagar in the city this morning.
However, the sentry opened fire, they said, adding that the militants fled away.
Later, security forces cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation, they said, adding that further details are awaited.
