Islamabad, Feb 13 Funeral prayer of Human Rights activist and renowned lawyer Asma Jahangir will be offered at Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday afternoon.
Jahangir died of cardiac arrest on Sunday in Lahore.She was 66, according to a report published in Radio Pakistan.
She was the first woman to become President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan, besides heading the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan.
She had served as the co-founder of the Women’s Action Forum and also known for her advocacy of issues like minorities’ rights and women’s rights.(UNI)
