JAMMU, FEB 20 :ย Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. S.P Vaid reviewed the arrangements for the 30th Police Public Mela, being held at Gulshan Ground on 25th this month. Twenty four cars and a number of high end gadgets, utility items have been put up as prizes.

Chaired by the DGP, the meeting was attended by Chairperson Police Wives Welfare Association Mrs. Bharti Vaid, Special DG V.K Singh, ADGsP Sh. A.K Choudhary and Muneer Ahmad Khan, IGsP Dr. S.D Singh, Danish Rana, Jagjit Kumar, S.A Watali, M.A Ganai, J.P Singh, Alok Kumar, S.K. Gupta, A.A Wani, senior officers of Police Headquarters andย ย of all the wings/ units connected with the mela.

The DGP while speaking on the occasion emphasized upon the officers for making sufficient arrangements of drinking water, traffic and to ensure safety measures for the mela. He directed the officer to make all necessary security arrangements in and around venue and ensure smooth conduct of the mela.

During the meeting the DGP was informed that about 50 stalls will be established by different police units and PWWA to display a variety of items. The main attraction of the mela is 08 Ciaz cars, 08 Wagon-R cars, 08 Alto-800 cars, 08 Apple iPhone X-256 GB, 08 LED 43โ€, 08 Motor Cycle TVs Sport, 08 iPad Pro 10.5โ€ WIFI-64 GB, 08 Laptop-HP, 08 refrigerator, 08 Washing machine, besides 8888 cash prizes which will be decided by lucky draw.

ย Cultural activities, Ceremonial police band, orchestra, folk dance, Painting competition, Slogan writing with the theme โ€œClean Jammu, Clean Tawiโ€ are the special attractions of the mela. Healthy baby show will also be conducted before three days of the mela, in which police wards will participate. (PTK)
