Kupwara: Protests continue to erupt in Tanghdar area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district in favour of construction of tunnel at Sadhna Top.

Reports said that a large number of locals carried out a march in Tanghdar seeking immediate construction of a tunnel at Sadhna Top.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards raising anti-government slogans.

They said that tunnel will not only connect them with rest of Kashmir but it will also stop road accident as the spot is prone to avalanches.

“Moreover, in wake of snowfall during winters, the road through Sadhna top remains suspended adding to the woes of people,” they said. (CNS)
