Srinagar, May 07 : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir, while expressing profound grief over the loss of civilians strongly condemned the civilian killings in Shopian and elsewhere in valley.
I believe the unabated bloodshed of civilians will vitiate the atmosphere further in valley, which will be detrimental to peace initiatives, but at the same time, he appealed people especially youth to maintain clam and offered deepest condolences to bereaved families.
G.A. Mir urged that Centre, State must change their policy with regard to Kashmir situation, which is extremely volatile and urged that effective measure be taken to restore peace and lost trust of the people in valley, besides confidence among them, but at the same, he said people have lost faith in both State and Centre due to wrong policies adopted by them.
