The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting a spell of rain and thunderstorms from July 10 to July 17.

According to the forecast, July 10-11 will see rain and thunderstorms at many places in Jammu Division and scattered places in Kashmir Division.

July 12-13 will experience light to moderate rain and thunderstorms at scattered to fairly widespread places, with heavy rain expected at isolated places in Jammu Division on July 12, reads the weather report according to KNS correspondent.

Brief spells of rain and thunderstorms are expected on July 14-15 at scattered places and July 16-17 at isolated places.

The advisory issued by local weather station also warns of flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at a few vulnerable places during July 11-13. Low-lying areas in Jammu Division may experience temporary water logging conditions.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecast, MeT center said.
