Security has been increased in Kishtwar district following the killing of two Village Defence Guards by terrorists, reported ANI.

To prevent further incidents, security forces have cordoned off the area near the guards' residences in Ohli-Kuntwara village.

The bodies of the deceased, Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, were recovered on Friday by police in a joint operation involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Army. The bodies were found in the forested areas of Ohli-Kuntwara after an extensive search operation.

The attack has sparked concerns about the safety of local security personnel, prompting heightened security measures in the region. The bodies of the slain guards were later brought to their homes in the village for last rites.
