The Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, predicting a mix of light rain and snow in the coming days.

  • 1st December: The region will experience partly cloudy skies, with light rain and snow in the higher reaches, particularly towards late evening and night.

  • 2nd-3rd December: A generally cloudy pattern is expected, with scattered light rain and snow at higher altitudes, particularly from the evening of the 2nd through the morning of the 3rd.

  • 4th-7th December: Weather conditions will turn dry across the region, with no significant precipitation expected.

  • 8th December: Another round of cloudy skies with light rain or snow at isolated places, especially in the higher reaches.

  • 9th-12th December: The region will experience generally dry weather once again.

Advisory for Tourists and Travellers: The local administration has urged tourists, travellers, and transporters to stay updated with official traffic and weather advisories. Conditions in higher reaches may affect travel, and caution is advised, especially during periods of rain and snow.

As the weather shifts over the next few days, residents and visitors are advised to stay prepared for fluctuating conditions.
