Bharatiya Janta Party has appointed Devyani Rana, daughter of late Devender Singh Rana, as its youth wing vice-president for Jammu and Kashmir unit.

According to a communique, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the nomination has been made by BJYM J&K president Arun Prabhat in consultation with party’s J&K president Sat Sharma and general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul.

Devyani Rana is the daughter of former legislator from Nagrota late Devender Rana. Rana, a four-time legislator. Rana passed away on October 31 last year.

Sources told KNO that she is likely to be BJP's candidate for Nagrota assembly seat which was represented by her father—(KNO)
