Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has distanced himself and his party from the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, stating, “We have nothing to do with Delhi elections.”

He said the political parties active in Delhi must decide how they want to contest against the BJP. “The AAP has won twice already. It is up to the people of Delhi to decide their future.”

When questioned about the scope of the INDIA alliance, Omar Abdullah acknowledged the lack of clarity regarding its agenda and leadership.

“There is no clarity on the alliance’s objectives or its leadership. No meeting of the INDIA bloc has been convened recently. It would be beneficial to hold a meeting to provide clarity. If the alliance was formed solely for the Parliamentary elections, then we should conclude it. However, if it is meant to include Assembly elections as well, we need to coordinate and work together,” he said. [KNT]
