Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister’s advisor, Nasir Aslam Wani, affirmed on Saturday the government’s commitment to following the business rules and limits set by the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act of 2019.

His statement, reported by the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), came in response to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha’s claim on Friday that his recent transfer of 48 JKAS officers adhered fully to the Act.

Speaking to reporters, Wani stressed, “We are clear on our jurisdiction and want the Act’s defined rules and boundaries to be respected.”
